Senate committee on petroleum chairmaned by Senator Uche Ekwenife has served a 2 weeks deadline to the minister of petroleum resources, President Buhari to end fuel scarcity.
Recently, fuel scarcity in the country resurfaced, skyrocketing the price of fuel to as high as 170 naira per litre.
Senator Uche told the “Minister” to bring an end to the fuel scarcity and ensuring it’s back to the normal price of 87 naira per litre.
”We are mandating the Minister of Petroleum Resources, the Permanent Secretary and heads of agencies to stop this fuel scarcity in two weeks.
“We are giving a target now, we don‘t want to know how you would achieve it. Nigerians want to see an end to this fuel scarcity.” he said.
